HOUSTON, TX (February 12, 2003) Power Temp Systems, Inc., the original and largest supplier of internationally recognized portable electrical products was called upon to provide custom-built portable power distribution equipment to an international customer who specializes in providing worldwide temporary power solutions. The customer had recently been awarded a contract to provide mission critical temporary power (both continuous and standby) to US military base camps. The portable power distribution equipment was required urgently to provide essential power to the various critical facilities at the base camps, which included accommodations for personnel, kitchens, dining rooms, and field hospitals. |

This equipment consisted of:
- 30,300 Amps - Custom-Built Distribution Panels (1,200A to 2,500A)
- 23.67 Miles - Type W 4/0 Single Conductor Portable Power Cable w/ Cam-Type Plugs & Connectors
A delivery deadline of three (3) weeks was established when the purchase order was awarded. The customer had chartered several large capacity cargo planes that were waiting to immediately airlift the equipment to its destination on the other side of the globe once the order was completed. However, prior to being loaded on to the cargo planes, all of the equipment had to be packed and crated in special containers.
In order to meet the customer’s unique delivery requirement, Power Temp Systems production personnel immediately began to work around the clock to accomplish this extraordinary feat. In order to overcome any hurdles along the way, Power Temp Systems developed and maintained a working partnership with the customer to assist them in coordinating timelines, and began the complex process of logistics coordination and identified all of the critical resources required.
